3 years ago, I brought a unique phone
Glyph lights and Industrial style,
Dot matrixs and designs was good to me
But suddenly it is EOLed, No more updates and no more fun,
It’s time to let my work movin’ on

I started digging, investigating all the hardwares below,
Also researching its already-known boot flow
To get a mainline kernel and free software running strong,
Even though manufacturer’s supports are all gone

When logs on screen begin to scroll,
Crashdump screams and (kernel) panics show,
You know it’s time to patch my progress more
Until a small framebuffer starts to grow, The-eight-Tuxes finished their unique show
No proprietary blobs, no closed-source chains

To guard my privacy and my personal digital rights,
I kept the flame of free software sights,
Now Arch runs smooth and Glyph lights are dancing free,
On a phone they meant to slowly fade away
